Mental tools for thriving under the COVID19 crisis
Fear and anxiety are spreading faster than COVID-19. Everywhere I go or look, many client I talk to, friends, family, way too many are freaking out.
The fear of the disease is worst than the actual disease. Why? Because worry depletes your immune system and if you were going to get sick, you have less natural defenses. Besides, constant worry is borrowing trouble that you might not get to experience.
There is a lot of evidence that tells us that stress is one of the biggest killers in the world. Many of the big killers (like heart decease and cancer) have a big component of stress as a trigger.
Therefore, the virus might not kill you, but the stress could leave you mentally tapped out, emotionally exhausted, at odds with your whole family, and feeling like you are going nuts!
